My Little Ms. Madison

Friday the 13th started out like any other day for us, with one slight difference. Madison's stomach hurt bad enough she was willing to miss her Valentines Day party at school. If any of you have children, you know that if they are willing to miss a party at school something is seriously wrong! I kept calling the doctors office with no answers as to what they wanted me to do. They wouldn't let me make an appointment, she (the receptionist) wanted to talk to the doctor first. After I picked Emma up from preschool, I dropped off Madison's Valentines Card box off at school and her Valentines then headed for the doctors office. By the time I got an answer from them (I called about 5 times so she finally interrupted the doctor and asked him what he wanted me to do), I had been sitting in the parking lot for about 5 minutes. So, when she took me off hold and told me he wanted me to come into the office right away - I was already there. After seeing her the doctor sent her over to the hospital for a ultrasound. The ultrasound showed she needed her appendix removed. We called David at 4:45 and told him he needed to come over because she was being admitted and was going to have surgery. He was shocked! He asked me if I could just fix it with therapeutic oils or something, since I am a "witch doctor" and all. :) I told him this time I couldn't fix it and we got ready to send her into surgery.

Before going in, my bother-in-law Michael stopped in to give her a blessing. Thank you so much Michael! You are awesome! The surgery went well and recovery is going smoothly. She is tired of not being able to do everything herself though. We can't get her to stay still! We love her so much and hope that we never have to stay a night in the hospital with one of our children as the patient again! Thank you to all of you who wished her well and told her you loved her. She really felt loved, so did we. Here are some pictures from this experience:

This is a picture of the stitches after they took her appendix out.

This is her appendix right before it was removed.

Madison getting wheeled out so she can come home.

These are her 3 little incisions. This is much better than the old fashioned way!
Here is Madison and Dr. Pugh just before she got released

James and Emma were troopers waiting, and waiting, and waiting!!

David stayed the night with her while I had the other 3. He is so great!

Even though she is sick and sore,
she still wanted to hold Sam - so we let him lay next to her!

We Love You Madison and am glad you are home and hope your stomach will never hurt again!

Sam is 2 Months old!!

My cute little Sam is 2 month old! Time has flown by so dang fast! He weighs 13.4 lbs and is 24 inches tall. This makes him in the 83% for weight and 87% for height. He has a Buddha belly and it's cute! Here are a couple pictures before the doctor appointment (I knew he wouldn't be too happy after getting shots, so I took them before)!

Sounds like Life!

So, David shares a country song once a month to a co-worker of his in an effort to convert him to country music. He came home and shared this song with me, so I thought I would share it with you. I think sometimes you relate to different songs more than others and right now this one is seems perfect for so many people out there going through trying times!! There isn't a video yet, but you should click on it and listen for a sec:)

Boondocks Kids Cove

On Tuesday we went to the Boondocks with Lindsey, Jada and Quincy. It's really nice because James and Quincy are about 5 1/2 months apart and Jada and Emma are 2 months apart so they all get along really well.
